Hot Topics of Neurosurgery with Spotlight on NeuroInterventional Coding & Pain Management Injections

Join us virtually as we dive into important Neurosurgery coding updates for the year, with Jeremy Clark, along with neurosurgery specific hot topics that are on the radar of physicians, coders, and insurance companies. Additionally, there will be a deeper dive into Neurointerventional services, including diagnostic studies alone, and also when more focused treatments are needed, including embolizations, thrombectomies, and stenting procedures.
During the Pain Management documentation and Coding overview, Brittany Glisson will be discussing common pain management procedures performed in an outpatient setting. This includes documentation training and common errors regarding epidural, facet joint, sacroiliac, and other peripheral injection treatments. Spinal neurostimulation procedures and new micro-stimulation systems will be reviewed along with updated coding guidance for this emerging technology.

Brittany Glisson, CPC, CPMA, CANPC The Coding Network Brittney Glisson has been with The Coding Network for a year and is currently serving as the Associate Director for Interventional Pain Coding & Auditing Services. Before joining TCN, she worked at Johns Hopkins University in the Anesthesia and Critical Care Medicine Department. She has been primarily coding pain management for four years.
Jeremy Clark, CPC, CIRCC The Coding Network Jeremy joined The Coding Network in 2004 and is the Neurosurgery team lead. He also works other specialties within The Coding Network surgical division, including Interventional Radiology, Cardiothoracic, and Orthopedics. Prior to this, he worked as a Coding manager at Aviacode, and also within Intermountain Healthcare surgical division for 3 years. He resides in Arizona with his wife and 4 children.
